As a Sorenson Investor, David focuses on evaluating, executing, and supporting existing and potential investments. He is passionate about bringing people, ideas, and capital together in ways that create economic and societal value.
Prior to joining Sorenson, David was an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. During his tenure at Bain, he focused on growth strategy and organizational transformation projects for several multi-billion dollar clients in the healthcare, technology, energy, & non-profit sectors. He also led Bain Houston’s bi-annual Social Impact Day, coordinating thousands of volunteer hours across the Houston community. Before Bain, David was an Operations Associate at Fifth Partners where he led growth strategy and operations at a consumer food company in the lower-middle market.
David graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors in Science in Economics and a minor in Business Management. During his time at BYU, David co-founded the BYU chapter of a student-led venture capital firm called Contrary Capital and co-led the BYU Management Consulting Association. Outside of work, you’ll find David exploring the Wasatch Range or Uinta Mountains with his family during all four of Utah’s beautiful seasons (on foot, bike, and skis).
