Darrell Hanks


Darrell is involved in evaluating, executing, and supporting existing and potential investments at Sorenson Capital.  He enjoys investing in and partnering with innovative companies that have the potential to make a lasting impact in their communities.

Prior to joining Sorenson, Darrell worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Leveraged Finance group at J.P. Morgan. During Darrell’s time at J.P. Morgan, he was actively involved in executing debt financings for companies in the financial, energy, metals & mining, and real estate sectors. Among these transactions was Marriott Vacation Worldwide’s $4.7 billion acquisition of ILG Inc. to create the world’s largest timeshare operator.

Darrell graduated from Brigham Young University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He speaks Spanish and Albanian and enjoys playing sports, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family in his free time.
