Tim Layton is a co-founder and managing director of Sorenson Capital and helped establish the strategy and approach for the firm. Tim is currently on leave as a volunteer mission president for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Tim joined Sorenson Capital with extensive experience in a wide range of businesses, including technology, healthcare, manufacturing, energy, aerospace, consumer products, and franchising. He leads the firm’s Performance Group, a team of seasoned operating partners who assist management teams in driving company evolution and growth.
Prior to Sorenson, Tim was co-founder of Alpine Consolidated. Earlier, he served as CEO of Medeco Security Lock and as vice president of strategic planning at Hillenbrand Industries.
Tim holds an MBA from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor of Science in statistics with a minor in economics from Brigham Young University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
